Parle Industries shares hit 5% upper circuit
Interestingly, shares of Parle Industries hit the 5% upper circuit on Wednesday, led by strong buying momentum. The small-cap penny stock went as high as 5% to ₹5.25 apiece on the BSE.
However, multiple reports said that this was majorly due to the confusion trade. Despite the rally, the listed company does not have any connection with Melody toffees, which are manufactured by Parle Products, an FMCG company based in Mumbai. It is well-recognised for brands such as Parle-G, Monaco, Hide & Seek, and Mango Bite.
Parle Products operates as a privately owned entity and is not listed on the Indian stock market.
On the other hand, Parle Industries is a BSE-listed company that specialises in infrastructure and real estate development. Also, it trades in paper, paper waste, and related recycling products.
